This Black History Month check out these books written by African American authors.



Hitting a Straight Lick with a Crooked Stick: Stories from the Harlem Renaissance by Zora Neale Hurston is a collection of eight of her stories that were found in her archives after her death. 



Blacktop Wasteland by S.A. Cosby is about a former getaway driver named Bug who goes in for one more job to get his life back on track, and things don't go as planned. 



The Black Panther Party written by David F. Walker and the artist Marcus Kwame Anderson. This graphic novel tells the story of the Black Panther Party and its political and social influences.
