Zora Neale Huston's Birthday

Zora Neale Hurston was born on January 7, 1891. She would later become one of the stars of the Harlem Renaissance.



One of her most popular books, Their Eyes Were Watching God, was published in 1937. The book starts with Janie Crawford returning to her hometown, where she sits down with her friend and tells her and the reader her life story. The Library also has this book available as an eBook.  



Wrapped in Rainbows: The Life of Zora Neale Hurston by Valerie Boyd is a biography of Zora's life.
