Welcome Back Students!

We've got lots of great resources just for you!

New! Real People. Real Help. 24/7.

You asked for it, you got it! Now you can ask for help with research and citations 24/7! So if it is 2 in the morning and you need a source, head to COM Library and get started with Ask a Librarian! You will get help from real live people, and it's available from every page!

During library hours COM Library staff will still be answering chats, but when we close real academic librarians working at colleges from around the world will hop online to help you out. They can help with all the same things that our library staff do, like helping you find scholarly articles, primary sources and grabbing citations.

The little orange chat but is gone! We never use AI or robots to help our students, so now our chat button makes it clear: Ask a Librarian!

Library Space

We have lots of places to read, study, charge your devices, and even places to de-stress with puzzles, chess, backgammon and more. Get coffee and snacks from our snack station. In our Study Loft we have areas designed for individual or collaborative study. We have a library lab with printers, computers, Office, access to all our databases and staff to help you when you need it.

Library Sources

The library provides access to the college level sources that you and your instructors love! Tens of thousands of books and eBooks, hundreds of thousands of articles, streaming media and primary sources that can even help you cite your sources, we can show you how!

Library Guides, Tips & Help

Our guides are great one stop resources designed by COM Librarians with COM students in mind, to help you find the best resources for your projects and save you time. We also have created shorter, focused tips to get you started. You can tweet, text, chat and more to get answers to your question. Go to Ask COM Library to ask a question or see some we've already answered from real live COM students!

Have a great year!!!!

Texas Wildflowers

This time of year wildflowers are everywhere. Of course Texas is most famous for its bluebonnets, but there are lots of varieties of wildflowers out there. Most people know that Ladybird Johnson was responsible for the Texas Wildflower Program, but not everyone knows that it continues to this day. TxDOT continues to sow wildflower seeds everywhere, beautifying the highways of Texas. Mowing is only done during this time when necessary for public safety. Great for the environment and great for the scenery! Get more information on the program , or check out the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center . To find them and see for yourself, get sighting info from Wild About Texas  Wildflower: Sightings . See some great Texas wildflower pix at Flickr .
