Weight-loss drugs are not the answer to the obesity epidemic. There's a better solution.GLP-1 receptor agonists, the new class of weight-loss drugs, do indeed cause about 85 percent of users to lose weight. But many also get side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gallbladder problems and gastroesophageal reflux. And most never reach the weight they are looking for; frustratingly, they plateau. Half quit within a year. By two years, the figure is 70 percent, and the lost weight soon returns.
