Bring Us Your Books! & Going Green LibGuide

Earth Day, April 22, 2012 is the kick off for COM Library’s reduce, reuse, recycle books program. It has been so successful that we are now including other items, such as media. So bring us your books, videos, CDs, DVDs, cassettes or magazines! This Earth Day is just the kick off, you can bring us your stuff anytime!

1. Reduce the clutter in your home or office by bringing us your books and media items.
2. Reuse books and other items in our collection or libraries in developing countries
3. Reuse books and other items in our book sale so we can improve our collection, services, access our facilities to better serve our students.
4. Recycled if books cannot be reused or sold.

What to Bring:

• Bring us any non fiction book that supports courses taught at the College.
• Bring us current or older textbooks are also great.
• Bring us your bestsellers that you are done with so we can add to our leisure collection.
 • Bring us any general interest videos, DVDs, CDs, cassettes or magazines.
• Items donated should be in decent condition.

COM Library has a brand new guide, Careers & Employment!  Go to the guide . Here are some of the resources available from COM Library: -Learning Express Job & Career Accelerator has interactive wizards that guide students through each step of the career building process, from exploring occupations and finding jobs to preparing resumes, completing job applications, and improving job search skills. Available on or off campus. -Fantastic streaming videos from Films on Demand that coach student on everything from interviews to the top careers in two years. These are available on or off campus. -Lots of books and eBooks on careers, resumes, interviewing, job skills and more. eBooks available on or off campus. -Links to good quality relevant web sites. In addition to our great COM Library resources, there are links to lots of COM resources such as work study and career services.
